Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold could break new ground as the first foldable phone with full dust protection. According to a leak from Android Headlines, the device may receive an IP68 rating, making it not only water-resistant but also completely dust-tight — a significant upgrade over current foldables like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 or the Motorola Razr Ultra, which offer IP48 protection against water but not fine dust.
The leak also suggests that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will feature a larger 6.4-inch outer display, thanks to a reduced gap between the hinge and the cover screen. The outer screen could offer a stunning 3,000 nits peak brightness, making it highly visible even in direct sunlight.
Inside, the phone is expected to be powered by Google’s next-gen 3nm Tensor G5 chip, with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage — alongside the standard 256GB and 512GB variants. A slightly larger battery (7% more than last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold) may also be included to support the enhanced hardware.
While the inner display is likely to remain at 8 inches, similar to the previous model, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may still be thicker than Samsung’s latest foldables. The camera setup appears unchanged, featuring a 48MP main sensor, 10.5MP ultrawide lens, 10.8MP telephoto, and two 10MP front cameras.
Though Google hasn’t confirmed a launch date yet, leaks suggest the Pixel 10 lineup — including this foldable flagship — could debut on August 20, 2025.
