Malaysia Embraces Web3 at Blockchain Week 2025

Malaysia is doubling down on its digital future as several government ministries unite in support of Malaysia Blockchain Week (MYBW) 2025, a flagship event dedicated to blockchain and Web3 innovation.

The week-long event will feature prominent figures such as YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital, and YB Tuan Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation. Their participation signals strong government endorsement for the Web3 ecosystem and Malaysia’s ambitions to lead in the regional digital race.

“Malaysia is rapidly becoming a hub for Web3 ventures. Events like MYBW align with our national vision to foster innovation, attract investments, and solidify our leadership in next-gen technologies,” said Minister Gobind Singh Deo.

The government’s ongoing commitment to digital transformation is reflected in numerous public-private initiatives — with MYBW serving as a catalyst for further blockchain adoption. Both ministers will deliver keynotes and participate in strategic roundtables with global and local industry leaders.

“Blockchain offers trust, transparency, and innovation — essential pillars for Malaysia’s digital growth,” added Minister Chang Lih Kang.

With support from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, MYBW 2025 will host a vibrant mix of keynotes, panel discussions, VC pitch days, regulatory roundtables, a hackathon, and exclusive side events — attracting innovators, investors, and entrepreneurs alike.

The event also aims to spotlight the next big Malaysian Web3 startup, following in the footsteps of local success stories like Etherscan, CoinGecko, and Pendle Finance.

MYBW 2025 will take place on July 21–22 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).
